The Present administration in Oyo state has again reiterated its commitment to conduct elections into 33 Local government areas of the state in the year 2020 for the smooth administration at the local government level.
Governor Seyi Makinde gave this assurance during the inauguration of the State Local Government Service Commission, TESCOM, SUBEB and Oyo SACA at the Executive Chamber Agodi, Ibadan.
He stressed that election into 33 Council areas would be conducted in 2020 while appointment of caretaker chairmen into the local council development areas would be carried out within the shortest time.
Governor Makinde urged members of the four committees inaugurated to contribute their quota to the advancement of Oyo state.
The Committee inaugurated by Governor Makinde include Oyo state Actions for Control of Aids led by wife of the State Governor and Chairperson, OYO SACA, Mrs Tamunomini Makinde, State Universal Basic Education Board chaired by Dr. Nureni Adeniran, Teaching Service Commission Board to be headed by Pastor Akin Alamu and Local Government Service Commission will be chaired by Dr. Remi Ayodele.
