Oyo state government has approved about One Hundred and Seven Nine million naira for the procurement of radio communication gadget for security personnel in the state.
The Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun stated this while briefing journalists after the weekly Executive Council Meeting.
The commissioner explained that the sophisticated digital communication gadget would improve collaboration among security operatives and enhance security of lives and properties in the state.
Dr. Olatunbosun also noted that the one hundred security cars procured by the government had been branded and would commence work next week
He however said that many of inmates rescued from the Oloore Rehabilitation Centre had be treated and reconnected to their families while others had been transferred to approved government rehabilitation center.
