Parents, Children Throng Recreation Centres in Ibadan
Following the public holiday declared by federal government to commemorate Christmas day, fun seekers used the opportunity to visit recreation centres in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
At the Zoological Garden, University of Ibadan, fun seekers were seen queuing at the main entrance of the garden in order to pay for access while others were seen observing the wildlife at the zoo.
The situation was not too different at the Trans Amusement Park, as fun seekers came out in droves while others were patronizing facilities at the park.
In an interview, two parents, Mr. Sunday Ojo and Mrs. Omowunmi Popoola said the economic condition of the country should not be allowed to hinder parents from interacting with their children as well as exposing them to various fun activities.
Some children who spoke to Radio Nigeria expressed joy for the opportunity given them to visit the zoo and the park.
General Manager, Trans Amusement Park, Mr. Sunday Kolawole, urged parents to visit the park for the benefit of their wards.
Our correspondent, also report that tents were erected for fun seekers to find shade while catching their breaths in between rides at the park.
