Delta State Government has approved the construction and resurfacing of eleven roads with a combined length of over twenty kilometers across the state.

 The State Commissioner for Information Mr. Charles Aniagwu made this known while briefing journalists at the Government House in Asaba, after the State Executive Council meeting.

 Mr. Aniagwu also revealed the government approved the establishment of a training center for the Federal Road Safety Commission FRSC, in Ika North East Local Government Council to attract Federal presence in the state.

Meanwhile, the state’s Commissioner for Works Mr. James Augoye, has listed some of the road projects including the one point seven-kilometer Okerenkoko road, which he noted would complete the final phase of the road network around the town in Warri Southwest Local Government Area.

The Commissioner added the government was aiming to take advantage of the dry season to improve on the pace of construction and rehabilitation of road projects.
