Ooni Visits Governor Fayemi

Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi, has paid a courtesy call on Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi at the Governor’s Office, Ado Ekiti.

Earlier, Oba Ogunwusi had held a meeting with the aggrieved traditional rulers in the state on how to amicably resolve the crisis lingering in the Ekiti Council of Traditional Rulers over Chairman position.

It would be recalled that eleven Grade A royal fathers in the state had opposed the installation of Alawe of Ilawe, Oba Adebanji Alabi, as Chairman of the council of traditional rulers. Consequently, the royal fathers had declined attending the Council meeting including state government functions.

Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, had also waded into the crisis, writing a letter to Governor Fayemi. While Alawe of Ilawe, Oba Adebanji Alabi replied, advising Alaafin to steer clear.
