Oyo State government says that it is working hard to handover about twenty returnees from Abidjan, Côte d’ivoire to the Osun State government.

Oyo State Police Command Team had on the evening of Wednesday, April 22nd intercepted the returnees on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

Report says the returnees refused to subject themselves to the Covid-19 test in line with the federal government’s directives mandating travelers for coronavirus screening.

The Oyo State Incident Manager on Covid-19, Dr Taiwo Ladipo in an interview with Radio Nigeria said the returnees would probably be led to Asejire, a border town with Osun State to hand them over to their government.
