Lock-down is to continue in Ogun State till Sunday ninth of May.

Governor Dapo Abiodun, who made this known while briefing newsmen in Abeokuta, also announced a new relaxation widow of between 7 a.m and five p.m for next week Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Governor Abiodun said that thirty percent of public servants in the state would resume for work on the days of relaxation of the lockdown and explained that all educational institutions remained closed while the ban on public and religious gatherings are still in place.

While announcing that naming ceremonies and burial rites could be held with fifteen attendees including officiating priests, the Governor said his administration had set up a mobile court to prosecute lawbreakers.

The governor, who announced that there would not be interstate travel of people living in the state and working in any state including Lagos, emphasized that a joint task force of transporters and security agencies had been inaugurated to guard against any act that would sabotage the travel ban.

Governor Abiodun also explained that COVID-19 Taskforce had set up enforcement committee in various markets to enforce social distancing, the use of face masks, and ensure that food sellers use hand gloves, adding that hands washing facilities would be deployed at strategic locations in all the markets across the state.
