Oyo State Director, National Orientation Agency, Mrs Dolapo Dosunmu has expressed displeasure over the nonchalant attitude of traders in Ibadan to precautionary measures against the community spread of coronavirus.

Mrs Dosunmu made this known in an interview with newsmen after a tour of sensitization campaign in some markets like Mokola, Ayeye, gate spare part market and some banks in Ibadan metropolis against the spread of Covid-19.

The NOA boss, who was obviously concerned by the spike in the number of confirmed cases in Oyo State in recent times, said it was unfortunate that many residents of the state as well as market men and women were not observing physical distancing, usage of nose masks and regular hand washing, despite sensitizations by government.

Mrs Dosunmu also observed that many commercial motorcyclists and their passengers were still not heeding to advise, calling on market leaders and other stakeholders to ensure strict compliance of these precautionary measures.

She advised people to always maintain a distance, cough into their elbows, stay at home and be responsible by obeying regulations.
