Ogun State Government has directed secondary school teachers to resume for duties on Monday, 3rd August 2020 ahead of students’ resumption on Tuesday, 4th August.
Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Primary and Secondary Education, Mrs Ronke Soyombo announced this in a statement in Abeokuta.
Mrs Soyombo explained that the early resumption of teachers would enable them to assist in the distribution of materials provided by the state government for the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination scheduled to commence on the 17th of August.
She emphasized the need for School administrators to accord priority to every guideline stipulated by the government for the reopening of schools and implored other stakeholders to cooperate with the government towards ensuring safe return to schools.
