Sunshine Stars FC has announced the departure of Head Coach, Alhaji Kabiru Suleiman Dogo from the Club following the expiration of his contract.

Dogo who just recuperated from a recent road accident was well received on his return to the Caring Heart Games Village office of the Club, to formalize his exit with the management on Monday.

Sunshine Stars’ President, Otunba Tajudeen Akinyemi and Club Director, Prince Babatunde Ogunja both expressed gratitude to Dogo and wished him well for the future.

Dogo on his part also thanked the entire set up of Sunshine Stars and the good people of Ondo State for making his two-year stay in Akure pleasant and memorable.

Dogo who joined from Nasarawa United in 2018 steered the Club to safety in a turbulent first season that saw an abridged format, however he had the team played expansively in a promising 2019/20 that was disrupted by COVID-19 global emergency.

In the meantime three Sunshine Stars of Akure have moved to and another Nigeria Professional Football League Clubs for 2020/2021 League Season.

Anthony Omaka has moved to Eyimba International, Olorunleke Ojo got transfered to Abia Warriors while Jide Fatokun will play for Kwara United in the next NPFL season.

MFM Football Club, will also miss two of its players in the next season,  Kabiru Adeniji has moved to Kwara United while Austin Opara will play for Eyimba International FC
