For Nigeria to experience massive turn around in agriculture, the country must totally depend on innovation through technology. 

Executive Director, Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa, FARA, Dr Yemi Akinbamijo made this known while delivering a quarterly lecture of the first Technical University, Ibadan. 

Dr Akinbamijo who hinted that development in the agric sector cannot be achieved without technology advised government to encourage and harness the strenght in its youths to generate innovative support for the country.

He commended the First Technical University, Ibadan for raising students that will bridge the technological deficits in Nigeria.

Reacting, Vice Chancellor, Technical University Ibadan, Professor Ayobami Salami said the institution is making arrangements to train students abroad to acquire more skills in technical education.

Professor Salami disclosed that Tech U had recently won four hundred and fifty thousand Euros research grants to assist the institution in research.
