Commissioner for Health in Oyo State, Dr Bashir Bello, has assured residents of the state of continued efforts at curtailing the spread of COVID-19 which has entered its second wave.

The commissioner stated this in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Ibadan.

Dr Bello noted that the present administration has pledged to make the wellbeing of the residents its top priority.

The health commissioner noted that as the Pacesetter State, different approaches will continue to be used to reduce the spread of coronavirus.

Dr Bello, however, urged residents to continue to support the government’s effort by adhering to all COVID-19 protocols as reeled out by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
