The Speaker, Osun House of Assembly, Mr. Timothy Owoeye has called for promotion of love and peace among the civil servants.
Mr. Owoeye made the call during the state Assembly’s “inter-religious prayer and thanksgiving progamme”, to usher in a new legislative year.
The Speaker noted that where love exists, there would be peace and harmony, urging the staff of the Assembly to love one another and eschew pull-him-down syndrome that is known among workers.
He stated that the peaceful co-existence among the lawmakers was what made their work smooth and easy, which created congenial atmosphere for the government of the state to perform.
The Speaker thanked and appreciated his colleagues and staff of the Assembly for their support during the past year which he said was what made the Assembly and state peaceful.
Radio Nigeria correspondent, Funmi Adekoya reports that prayers and songs of thanksgiving were rendered by members of staff of the Assembly and lawmakers, to appreciate God for 2020 and for a peaceful and successful New Year.
