No fatality has been recorded at the University College Hospital since Covid- 19 started.
The Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Professor Jesse Otegbayo made this known at a news briefing in Ibadan.
He explained that a total number of Nine hundred and Forty seven cases of Covid 19 has so far been managed, out of which four hundred and ninety four were staff of the hospital while four hundred and fifty three were non- staff.
Contrary to the rumour making the rounds, the CMD noted that many staff of the institution who live in town and in the community could have been infected there.
On the vaccines being awaited, Professor Otegbayo noted that front line workers would be the first batch of Nigerians to be vaccinated against infection thereby making them more effective in the treatment of patients
