Women Day: Stakeholders Renew Call for Greater Role in Society

There is the need for governments and other employers of labour to promote relevant policies to ensure flexible work schedule and conducive working environment for women to rise to their full status in the society.

A cross section of people in Abeokuta made the submission as Nigerian women join the rest of the world to mark this year’s International Women’s Day.

Those who spoke with our staff reporter, Francisca Irekpita, also renewed the call for gender equality, women empowerment and motivations to promote active participation of women in political, economic and socio – cultural advancement of Nigeria.
