Ogun State house of Assembly has elected M.r Akeem Balogun as the new Deputy Speaker of the house.
Mr Akeem Balogun who is representing ogun water side state constituency emerged sequel to his nomination by Mr Solomon Osho and seconded by Mr. Abayomi Fashuwa, supported by the whole house through a voice vote.
Speaking to newmen after his election, Mr. Balogun appreciated his colleague for their support and pledged his loyalty to the speaker of the house and other lawmakers.
It would be recalled that the former Deputy Speaker, Mr Oludare Kadiri was removed from the office with the approval of the nineteen lawmakers over alleged gross misconduct, which made the office vacant.
Meanwhile, Mrs Remilekun Olaopa has been confirmed as member of the state independent electoral Commission, OGSIEC.
