The Ogun State government has promised to reduce the number of out of school children through the provision of various incentives to encourage school attendance.
Chairman of the state Universal Basic Education Board, Mr Femi Majekodunmi made this known while speaking with Radio Nigeria in Abeokuta.
Mr Majekodunmi who identified non-challant attitude of some parents as factor affecting school enrollment said the country had one of the highest figure in the world.
The SUBEB boss said the government had concluded plans to upgrade facilities in primary schools by ensuring regular payment of counterpart funding for upgrade of infrastructure through the federal government intervention programme.
