Christians have been reminded to focus more on charity rather than amassing wealth for themselves as this is the best form of worship they can give to God during their lifetime.

Reverend Samuel Awobode of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Oyo province 13 stated this during a sermon at the burial ceremony of Mrs Eunice Tewogbade Olofintuyi mother of a former board member of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN Chief Mrs Bola Doherty held in Ibadan.

Reverend Samuel Awobode noted that life is measured based on human’s impact on other people’s lives irrespective of the level of wealth being acquired.

Reverend Awobode commended late Mrs Eunice Olofintuyi for being a role model to both her biological and adopted children.

One of the grand children of the deceased Mr Akinwumi Doherty and one of her daughters Chief Mrs Bola Doherty who is also a former board member of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria FRCN described late Mrs Eunice Olofintuyi as a passionate mother and a rare gem.

An ace gospel singer Mama Bola gave special rendition at the event.

Dignitaries at the event included former Commissioner for Information in Oyo state Mr Wasiu Olatunbosun, former Minister of power and steel elder Wole Oyelese, an elder statesman in Oyo state Baba Ayo Adebanjo while the staff of office of the Olubadan of Ibadan land was sent to the venue of the event.
