Cult Clash Claims One In Ogun

A forest guard had been reported shot dead after a suspected cult groups clash in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
According to witnesses, the incident occurred at about 8 p.m. on saturday around Leme area of Abiola Way. A trader in the area, Mrs Abigael Adesanya said a group of hoodlums accosted the forest guard to the main road and shot him dead.
Another resident of the area, Mr. Tunde Erinle in his account however said the Forester was killed while the cult groups engaged themselves over an issue between them.
Confirming the incident , the Ogun State police command spokesperson, Mr. Abimbola Oyeyemi said the incident is being investigated at the State Criminal Investigation Department at Eleweran.
He also noted that the police would continue to clamp down on cultists terrorising the state if they refused to renounce their membership of the groups and advised parents to warn their children against cultism.
