The 1,647 batch C stream 1 members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, posted to Oyo state have been sworn in this morning by the chief Judge of  Oyo state, Justice Munktar Abimbola in Iseyin.

The figure representing 797 males and 850 females were administered oath of allegiance by the representative of the chief judge, Justice Iyabode Yerinma.

Addressing the Corps members, on behalf of the Director-General, of NYSC, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim the Oyo state coordinator of NYSC, Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe urged the Corps members to take the vocational and skill acquisition and development programme of the scheme very serious as it would enable them become self-reliant.

Brigadier general Ibrahim said arrangements were being perfected with NCDC to ensure that the Corp members were given COVID 19 vaccine during the orientation course.

Radio Nigeria observed that apart from the main gate that was closed contrary to what it used to be, no special guest were in attendance except the representative of the chief judge who was tested through the infrared thermometer at point of entering the camp.

Our correspondent also observed that the Corp members who were putting on their nose mask were also made to observe physical distancing after being tested for COVID 19.
