Political party members must perform their duties wisely when necessary, for the progress of their party and good governance.
Osun State governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola stated this during an engagement tour to Irewole Federal Constituency consisting, of Ayedade, Irewole and Isokan Local Governments of the state.
Addressing party members at the gatherings in Ikire, Apomu and Gbongan where thousands of party chieftains and members converged, Governor Oyetola told them that he had agreed to vie for a second term in office.
He appealed to them to jealously keep their party registration form and give no room for double standards among members.
While saying that his programmes and policies have benefited residents of the state irrespective of party inclination, he assured people of his readiness to ensure them more dividends of democracy.
In a remark, former Commissioner for Information in the state, Mr Sunday Akere said the essence of the tour was to sensitize party members on the need to vote rightly during party elections.
During the tour which took the governor to the palaces of Akire of Ikire, Alapomu of Apomu and Olufi of Gbongan, the monarchs noted the achievements of the governor saying they are worth earning him a second term in office.
