Police command has commenced total enforcement of the ban on unauthorized use of sirens, spy numbers plates, covered number plates, right-hand drive and unregistered vehicles.

This is contained in a statement signed in Ibadan by Police Public Relations Officer,  Mr Olawale Osifeso. 

The statement states that the enforcement of laws banning the unlawful use of sirens, revolving lights, flashers, unregistered vehicle number plates, covered number plates, spy number plates by motorists and other road users will begin immediately to instil safety and sanity on all public highways and other roads throughout Oyo state.

The statement notes that the commissioner of police, Oyo state, CP Ngozi Onadeko, FDC, has directed total enforcement by all area commanders, divisional police officers, state traffic officers and divisional traffic officers in conjunction with the federal road safety corps, oyo state command.

It implores members of the public to continue to be law-abiding and also cooperate with the task force team in ridding the state of all forms of traffic offences.
