Below are the tributes to the late septuagenarian.
“Pa Adedayo was a jolly good fellow, he was one of those who launched me into journalism. An editor per excellence through whom I learned a lot during my growing up years on the job. My knowledge of how to handle “Editorial Review” in Newspaper was acquired from this ever- smiling boss turned father. With him the Newsroom and Journalism profession are delightful. Pa Adedayo was one of my strongest backers during my unionism days particularly when I contested as secretary FRCN chapel, secretary Oyo council and chairman Oyo council which I lost. He always monitored my progress and was ever happy to hear of my successes and achievements on the job. Pa Adedayo would always ask of me and pray for me.  He used to describe me as “S•T• soap. Ose, ti kii tani lowo, ti kii tani labe. He was fond of me. Pa Adedayo believed in me so much that I also loved him passionately in return. I always asked of his health each time we spoke, I was always happy whenever he sounded well

“I acknowledge the legacy he left behind in mentoring and pioneering efforts at positive FM, Those he trained are doing well now. Glory be to God.Adieu bossAdieu mentorAdieu brotherAdieu, dad in journalism.Till we meet to part no more.S•T Abioduñ, DDN. IZS”.

“Daddy, I received the news of your death with so much sadness, I thought you would still stay with us for a long time but who are we to question the unquestionable God, your maker. You were an embodiment of peace and love. You played that fatherly role in the lives of many of us that passed through you.
You retired many years back but you kept in touch even till this January You thought us the nitty gritty of journalism. You were a rare breed of journalists, you were so brilliant. Your high sense of humour was second to none. The only day I ever saw you moody was the day your mother died. You related with us like we were mates.
Baba, as we fondly called you, may there be light on your path as you journey back to your creator and may your beautiful soul find peace with your creator.
Adieu Baba Aderemi Adedayo……Bukola Bardi, Positive fm Akure”.
