Nigerians have been enjoined to use the fasting period for sober reflection and eschew acts that are inimical to fellow humans.

The wife of the former governor of Oyo State, Dr Florence Ajimobi stated this when management of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN Ibadan Zonal Station, paid a courtesy visit to the former first lady at her Oluyole residence.

She explained that since both Christian and Muslim faiths are on fasting, the period is an opportunity for all and sundry to be closer to God and offer supplications to Him.

Dr Ajimobi urged people to always strive to leave good legacies behind them as done by her husband Senator Abiola Ajimobi, whom she said impacted people’s life positively.

She then pledged that her collaboration with Radio Nigeria would be sustained.

Zonal Director, FRCN, Ibadan Zonal Station, Mrs Bolatito Joseph said the visit was not only to congratulate Dr Ajimobi on her 63rd birthday but to strengthen the existing relationship between the corporation and the birthday celebrant.

Mrs Joseph said Radio Nigeria would not relent in transmitting messages that promote good morals to society.
