A legal luminary and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Mobolaji Ayorinde says he negotiated the full ownership of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Lautech with Governor Seyi Makinde when he was the Pro-chancellor and Chairman, Governing board of the institution.

Chief Ayorinde stated this in an interview with Radio Nigeria shortly after he was conferred with an honorary doctorate degree in law at the 14th convocation ceremonies of Lautech held over the weekend.

Chief Ayorinde who could not hide his joy, said his tenure as Pro-chancellor witnessed tremendous achievements which had restored the glory of the institution.

“During our tenure, no strike, no students riot, and everything went smoothly as planned” Chief Ayorinde said.

He spoke further that the various suggestions his board made to Governor Makinde resulted to the full ownership of Lautech.

Speaking on the award of doctor of law conferred on him by the institution, the legal guru, who is also a Special counsel to Governor Makinde, expressed gratitude to God for the honour which he described as a surprise to him.

Radio Nigeria gathered that a former military Governor of Oyo state major general Oladayo Popoola was also conferred with an honorary doctorate degree in civil law by the institution.
