Nigeria Police Force, Oyo State Command has commenced investigation into the strange circumstances associated with a recently found skeleton around Adeosun Apete, Ibadan.
Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo state, Wale Osifeso gave the assurance to Radio Nigeria in a telephone interview.
A video of a skeleton lying on a bed with a mobile phone placed in the hands in an apartment had recently been making the rounds.
Giving a clue on the development, a resident in the area,Mr Taiwo Olalekan said the deceased was the owner of the house that usually travels home occasionally from Abuja.
He explained that the man believed to have decomposed was a lone ranger who was not relating with the neighbours.
The source said the deceased whose identity was not known was last seen about four years ago.
Mr. Olalekan explained that a neighbour has reported to the landlords association that the bushy house of the deceased person was already breeding dangerous animals, a development which prompted the association to seek police permission to break into the house to clear it.
He added that breaking into the house with intention to cut the grass, the labourers saw that the window was opened and chose to peep into it,.only to see a totally decomposed body.
Mr.Olalekan described the incident as unfortunate.
