One of the suspended lawmakers of the Ogun House of Assembly, OGHA, Mr Solomon Osho, has appealed to the House to reconsider his suspension from the assembly and its activities.

Mr Osho made the appeal through a letter he sent to the House and was read by the Speaker, Mr Olakunle Oluomo during plenary in Abeokuta.

Mr Oluomo noted that the lawmaker urged members to reconsider the issue of his suspension and conduct, promising to be law-abiding.

The speaker, thereafter, referred the letter to the executive session for further action.

The leadership of the House had on September 13th, 2022 suspended, Mr Solomon Osho and Former Deputy Speaker, Mr Dare Kadiri for alleged breach of assembly’s rights and privileges.

Meanwhile, the OGHA had also confirmed the appointment of Mr Lateef Balogun as the State Auditor General.

The Deputy Speaker, Mr Akeem Balogun read the report of the Committee of the Whole House on the screening of the governor’s nominee for the state Auditor General.

Mr Balogun noted that the committee of the Whole House led by the Speaker had screened the nominee last Thursday and found him eligible, qualified and suitable for the position.
