The new Acting Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta FUNAAB, Professor Olusola Kehinde has assumed office with a promise to consolidate the institution’s tradition of excellence initiated by the founding fathers.
Speaking at a brief handover ceremony between him and the sixth substantive Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Kolawole Salako, the Acting Vice Chancellor solicited the support and cooperation of all members of the university community.
While promising to do his utmost best to provide quality and responsible leadership during his six months tenure in office, Professor Kehinde said he understood the gravity of occupying the office during a transition period, noting that he would require the commitment of both the internal and external publics of the institution.
The Acting Vice Chancellor also implored members of the University Community to ensure that due process was followed in the bid to settle all grievances without causing embarrassment to the system.
He announced that the Governing Council of the institution would soon unfold the timeline plan for a peaceful transition in the University following the expiration of the tenure of Professor Kolawole Salako as the sixth substantive Vice Chancellor of the university.
