The Nigerian Army,35 Artillery Brigade has handed over 365 pieces of pawpaw-size wrapped cannabis sativa weighing about 176 kg to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Ogun State Command.

The Commander, 35 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier-General Mohammed Aminu, who was represented by the Garrison Commander, Colonel Legborsi Nule at the handing over of the exhibits, said the suspect was arrested by troops on routine patrol on January 6 2024 at Olodo, Imeko along Imeko – Abeokuta road in the State.

The Army boss explained that the brigade would continue to sustain all efforts in collaborating with other security agencies to rid the State of crimes. 

He further reiterated the Brigade’s commitment to ensuring troops maintain high standards and professionalism in discharging their duties.

The NDLEA Commandant in Ogun, Jane Odili commended the effort of the Brigade and solicited more collaboration with the military and other security agencies in the State.
