Cooperative Expert Admonishes FRCN ICCS Members on Agric Investment

Members of Radio Nigeria Staff Investment and Credit Cooperative Society, ICCS, Limited, Ibadan Zonal Station have been advised to conduct research and take advantage of opportunities in the Agricultural Sector by investing in it.

Federal Director of Cooperatives Abuja, Mr Idris Sanni gave the advice at the 31st Annual General Meeting of the Society held at the Broadcasting House, Dugbe, Ibadan, Oyo State.

In a Speech delivered on his behalf by the Vice President of the Cooperative Society, Mrs Mercy Abidoye, Mr Sanni explained that the sector has numerous investment opportunities ranging from fisheries, livestock poultry to crops farming,  adding that members should choose wisely for better output.

“I have studied your account and am pleased with the performance recorded”

“To grow a resounding impact in your society you need to remember what we stand for as contained in the cooperative identity. “

Earlier, the Zonal Director,  Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Ibadan, Mr Dominic Mokikan Commended Members of the Society for their resilience and spirit shown in their commitment to the development of the society, despite the present economic hardship in the country.

“ To God be the glory for spending our lives to witness this year’s AGM edition of our cooperative society

“The income you are earning is not much., but I plead with you not to give up the spirit of saving.”

Mr Mokikan implored members of the society  to continue supporting the leadership of the Society for better and collective achievements.

In his welcome address, the President Of the Cooperative Society, Mr Sunday Olowokere promised to continue operating an open-door policy through transparency and accountability.

“We implore all members to take our meeting attendance seriously as critical decisions are taken in general meetings.”

Mr Olowokere enjoined members to renew their commitment towards prompt payment of their monthly dues and loan repayment.

Highpoint of the event included the presentation of Awards to outstanding members, the adoption of the 2023 Financial year report and the cooperative key resolutions.
