Two persons have been reported dead while thirteen others sustained injuries in an accident on the Sagamu- Ijebu-Ode section of the Expressway after Area J3 junction.
The Spokesperson, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Ogun State Command, Mrs Florence Okpe made this known in a statement in Abeokuta.
The statement indicated that the accident involved a Toyota bus marked GUE 59 ZY and a truck with registration number BGT 94 LG.
The statement showed that the suspected cause of the crash was excessive speed, as the bus driver rammed into the stationary Truck parked by the roadside.
It said that the injured victims were taken to a private Hospital in Area J4 while the deceased were deposited at the Ijebu-Ode General Hospital Morgue.
According to the statement, the Sector Commander, Mr Anthony Uga cautioned motorists against wrong parking of vehicles on the highway, stating that if there was any breakdown, they should display caution signs to alert other road users.
Mr Uga also advised motorists to shun speed and always drive carefully.
