Having a vision is good, but actualising the vision for the benefit of humanity is the best.

One of such visions was the birth of Crime Alert Security Network 13 years ago.

Crime Alert Security Service through its operations has been able to prevent crimes such as armed robberies, kidnappings, rape and burglary.

Crime Alert Security Network within the thirteen years of its existence has also fostered unity among the nation’s security agencies.

Also, local security agencies such as Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, Vigilante Group of Nigeria, VGN, Agbekoya and local hunters have in no small measure benefited from the services of Crime Alert Security Network.

The existence of Crime Alert Security Network has also made it easy for Nigerians to call on police and other security agents while in distress.

The induction of the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of Crime Alert Security Network as patron of the Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC, in Oyo State is also a testimony to the cordial relationship between Crime Alert and other bodies in the security sector.

At different fora, Chairman of Oyo State Command of the PCRC, Reverend Peter Omofowe confirmed the effectiveness of Crime Alert Security Network and recommended the organization to residents of the state.

Apart from crime prevention, Crime Alert has also saved many lives and property from fire accidents through a device used to prevent explosion known as “Technokontrol”.

The collaboration between Crime Alert Security Network and the PCRC has led to the donation of a one-storey administrative block to the Nigeria Police Force, Egbeda Police Division, by the security company.

Six patrol cars were recently donated to the Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Police Force and handed over to the Oyo State Police Commissioner by the CEO of Crime Alert Security Network, Ambassador Amos Olaniyan.

Aside this, Crime Alert has been repairing police patrol vans to enhance the works of police personnel.

Widows who have benefited from the philanthropic gesture of Chief Executive Officer of Crime Alert Security Network, Ambassador Olaniyan will never forget the impact of the security company in their lives, as more than five thousand less-privileged people have received various forms of welfare packages to better their lives.

Crime Alert has also embarked on many medical outreaches to promote a sound and healthy society through its non-governmental organization, Safety Ambassadors United Global Center.

Another achievement of Crime Alert Security Network in thirteen years is the way the company has been able to provide means of livelihood to people through its investment program.

Despite the effects of COVID-19 on global economy, investors of crime Alert are still collecting their dividends and rewards as and when due.

As parts of its initiatives, Crime Alert Security Network, the company is currently selling a special gas cylinder, which has been fitted with “Technokontrol”.

To cushion the effect of Coronavirus pandemic in Oyo State, the Chief Executive Officer of Crime Alert Security Network Ambassador, Amos Olaniyan has provided food items worth millions of naira for less privileged

The food items include rice, beans, semovita, vegetable oil, with some preventive kits against the disease which are sanitizer and face masks.

The beneficiaries, majorly widows and aged persons were drawn from different part of the state. 

The items were taken to the beneficiaries at home.

Distributing the items, the donor, Dr. Amos Olaniyan described the Coronavirus pandemic as unfortunate and situation when the less privileged would need those who have better grace more than before.

Speaking on why the company did not focus more on sanitizer and masks, Dr. Olaniyan said people needed food to obey any lockdown order.

I know sanitizer, face mask, and other medical materials are very crucial at this period, but many people had distributed these materials, I have even seen  some who collected two and sold one, that was why we thought that to help our people we need to give them what will sustain them at home.”

“For people to stay at home, they need food, and not everybody can boast of eating without going out, even if what we are giving them are not enough, it would help them to some extent”

The Crime Alert Boss who commended the government’s efforts so far also called on other well-meaning Nigeria to complement the government efforts by providing help for those who need it.

Ambassador Olaniyan however advised people to guard themselves against contracting the diseases saying security of the nation begins with every individual.

‘People need to protect themselves from any diseases not just against coronavirus, Security agents can protect you from robbery, kidnapping, killing and other forms of attacks, no soldiers, police not even “Amotekun can protect you from diseases you have to do it yourself.

You have to protect yourself  by following all the instruction medicals experts are given, social distance is very important, if you are not told, you know that you should wash your hand, let make it our usual habit, hand washing is very important’.

He urged people to try to stay at home and maintain hygienic environment to prevent what medical experts called community infections which he Nigeria might not be able to manage if occurred.

Oyo State Police Command has commenced recruitment of Community Policing Volunteers.

The Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Mr. Shina Olukolu stated this in Ibadan while commissioning the administrative block donated by Crime Alert Security Network to Egbeda Division of Oyo State Command of Nigeria Police Force.

Mr. Olukolu said explained that the command had begun screening of the volunteers in connection with traditional rulers, and members of the Police Community Relations Committee.

The Commissioner of Police said those to be recruited must be able-bodied and be between the ages of twenty-one and fifty years.

Speaking on the donation, Mr. Olukolu commended the donor, who is also the Chief Executive Officer, Crime Alert Security Network, Dr. Amos Olaniyan and called on Nigerians to emulate the gesture.

In a remark, the Chief Executive Officer, Crime Alert Security Network, Dr. Amos Olaniyan called on police to embrace ideas from the private sector that could help them to achieve their vision.

Dr. Olaniyan also advocated adequate training for police officers to be more efficient.

At the event, the chairman, Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC, Oyo State Command, Mr. Peter Omofoye pronounced the Crime Alert Boss as patron of PCRC.
