As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to celebrate the new year 2022, the Oyo State Speaker, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin has congratulated Nigerians and urged them to be positive and optimistic of a greater and better nation in the years ahead.

The Speaker in a New Year message to Nigerians said it was time for everyone to have the believe that everything will turn out well for Nigeria in the next few years.

” Nigeria has always been a promising nation with great and unlimited potentials. However, bad governance and governments had in the past years caused its woes. As we wish ourselves a happy new year 2022, it is pertinent for us to propagate positivity and optimism of a rosy future for us. We should jettison all pessimistic thoughts of a failed nation hence we should use the new year 2022 to prepare the ground for the new set of leaders that will help restore the lost glory of our nation and return us to the path of prosperity and abundance. “

According to the Speaker, the resilience of Nigerians is commendable and will yield the desired positive results if we all rise up in 2023 to take the country from the political cabals who are feeding large on our collective treasure and destiny.

” God has been so faithful and wonderful to us. He has protected us since the beginning of 2021 till the end. A lot has happened in our land but God has through His divine power kept us alive to witness the new year “

Hon Ogundoyin, while thanking everyone for their support in the outgoing year, appealed for greater cooperation and more overwhelming support from the people of Oyo State for the PDP led Government of Governor Seyi Makinde.

” I am the most favored by God in the year that just ended , and this would not have been possible but for the prayers, support and encouragements of the people of Ibarapa East State Constituency. As i wish my teeming constituents a happy and prosperous new year 2022, i also wish to assure that your support and loyalty will not be taken for granted. In line with the plan of this administration for all zones, Ibarapa land will not be left out. “
