Eagle, the bike being used by London to Lagos biker, Kunle Adeyanju will be placed on sale as soon as the adventurer arrives in Lagos. According to a tweet shared by the biker, the bike will be going for $25,000.

He intimated in his now-viral tweet that part of the proceeds will be donated to charity and used to end Polio.

Kunle wrote in his tweet: “Eagle will be going on auction post-arrival in Lagos…… starting bid $25,000. Part of the proceeds will be donated to Rotary Foundation toward ending polio.”

Kunle commenced his popular charity journey on the 19th of April and he is currently in Ghana.

Nigerian Man, Kunle Adeyanju will no longer arrive in Lagos on the 25th of May as planned because he wants to spend more time in Ghana and disseminate his #EndPolio Message.

In a tweet made on Saturday, May 21st, Kunle said he will arrive in Nigeria on the 29th of May.

According to the biker who set out from London on April 19th, the new arrival date became necessary due to the yearnings of Ghanaian brothers and sisters.

He had announced on May 19 that Nigerians should expect him in Lagos on the 25th, but that has now changed.

He said in the tweet: “In order to meet the yearnings of my Ghanaian brothers & sister on effective dissemination of #EndPolio message & meeting with stakeholders, my arrival date is now Sunday the 29th!”

A Nigerian biker, Kunle Adeyanju, who set out to ride his bike from London to Lagos is now in Ghana.

A tweet he shared indicates that he arrived in the West African Country from Ivory Coast and enjoyed their Jollof rice.

After Kunle enjoyed the Ghanaian Jollof rice and thanked them for it, he went on to say that he prefers the Nigerian Jollof.

Nigerians and other Twitter users have besieged the tweet, congratulating him for the courage he has maintained so far in his journey.

Adeyanju, who is currently in Cote D’Ivoire, revealed this on his Twitter handle on Thursday.

A Nigerian man, Kunle Adeyanju, who is nearing the end of his big mission of riding from London to Lagos state has progressed despite challenges.

On Sunday, May 15, the man had a major setback in his mission as border authorities in Cote d’Ivoire would not allow him entry.

In an update on the issue, Kunle tweeted that he is now in Burkina Faso, suggesting that he has taken another route to continue his journey.

A photo he shared showed him amid other riders with their power bikes.

Earlier, Adeyanju was stuck at the Cote d’Ivoire border and was not allowed an entry, a situation that threatened his mission.

Nigerian biker, Kunle Adeyanju who is currently riding from London to Lagos said he has been denied entry into Cote d’Ivoire.

Kunle who has been updating his followers about his journey, through his twitter handle said he had to turn back, while the Nigerian Embassy handles the issue.

Kunle started his courageous but hazardous journey on April 19th and there have been several twists and turns in the journey.

According to him, he has had a combination of a smooth and bumpy journey so far.

In Mali, for instance, he was confronted by a serious challenge whereby his rear wheel got damaged. But that has since been fixed and he has moved on.

Kunle’s announcement of his plans to auction his Eagle bike and use the proceeds for charity has generated a lot of buzz on Twitter, it has also received the backing of the online community.

A group of kids gathered to welcome Nigerian biker, Kunle Adeyanju to Mali as he rode into the country from Senegal yesterday evening.

Kunle who is riding from London, the UK to Lagos, Nigeria arrived in Mali yesterday and he said some good Malians looked after his bike.

In one of the photos he shared, the kids were seen displaying the Rotary Club banneret which has been Kunle’s emblem since he commenced the epic journey.

In another photo, he said some kind Malians looked after Eagle, his bike, suggesting that he was well received in the country.

Nigerian biker, Kunle Adeyanju who has been on a personal mission to make his way to Lagos from London with a motorbike is now stuck on the road after running into a pothole around Mali.

Kunle who had begun the trip which is scheduled to last 25 days on Tuesday, April 19 informed his over 47k followers on Twitter about the new development in a recent tweet.

Kunle expressed sadness about the development that is expected to slow down his polio-inspired trip.

Sharing a picture of the affected bike area, the biker stated that his rear tire and alloy were affected badly. He added that he is working on options in a bid to resume the trip.

It appears clearly that Kunle Adeyanju, the courageous Nigerian biker who is riding from London to Lagos is gradually but steadily getting home.

He has crossed from Senegal to Mali from where he shared a photo standing close to a signpost that proved his presence in the West African country.

After taking a long rest in Senegal, Kunle set out again for the remaining part of the journey which has attracted huge attention.

He also used the period of rest in Senegal to service his bike called Eagle and to change the engine oil which he said was dark due to the rigours of the journey.

Sharing his latest milestone on Twitter, Kunle wrote: “Breaking News!!! I’m in Mali!”

Kunle Adeyanju was hosted in Senegal by the Nigerian ambassador to that country, Ibrahim Lamuwa.

Kunle was also hosted by the Nigerian and Yoruba communities in Senegal.

This was after he crossed from Mauritania. He rested in Senegal for four days.

Ambitious biker, Kunle Adeyanju arrived in Senegal on day 13 of his London to Lagos ride. The journey which is meant for charity is planned to last 25 days and cover 12,000km. Yesterday, Kunle tweeted that he has arrived St Louis, Senegal from Mauritania after crossing the Sahara Desert through Morocco.

Kunle shared a stunning video of when he was riding through the Sahara Desert on his bike. The arid land was really tasking for him as he could be seen trying hard to navigate his way through.

At some point, he had to completely stop and use his left leg to support the movement of the bike as it is caught in the pool of Sahara sand. When he got to the Morocco-Mauritanian border, he was stopped by the security agents who checked him thoroughly even with a sniffer dog.

A Nigerian man, Kunle Adeyanju, who has been on a mission to ride from London to Lagos for more than 10 days went from Laayoune to Naouadhibour, covering more than 1,000 kilometers. In a post on Monday, May 2, the relentless rider said the ride would be his longest since he started out on the journey.

Narrating his experience riding through the Sahara desert, he said he heard voices around as he explained what could have caused it Many Nigerians who reacted to his story said that he is very determined and they look forward to seeing him completing the herculean task. After the reading, Kunle dumped his usual routine of setting out by 9 am and instead went out early at 6 am. The man tested his limit all through the journey.

Kunle revealed that he got to his present destination two days ahead of time. He went ahead to say that before going to bed the previous night, he read a book that spoke about the limitations people place on themselves.

He said it took him almost two hours to cross the Mauritania border. He said he travelled through the Sahara desert all through. Kunle revealed that when he stopped and wanted to make a video in the desert, solders who passed by him laughed and wondered if he is okay because of the uncanny nature of the Sahara.
Attesting to how very dangerous the place could be, he said he heard voices around him. In his words: “…this is the Sahara! And It is true the Sahara is not your friend and it doesn’t forgive nor understand mistakes or ignorance, it just kills you! When I stopped to do the video, I kept turning round because I started hearing different voices.

According to him, while hearing voices could sound so funny to many, it is true. He, however, said that they are not spirit voices but voices of people who may be around.

He explained it away by said: “…Because of the strong winds on the Sahara and the relatively flat and bare surfaces, sound waves tend to travel farther, so voices of people from several kilometers away can come out clearly to you.

The man said that his experience with the Spanish cold weather was a way of preparing him for the desert. He added that the desert wind was strong and dusty. Kunle revealed that the wind made it difficult for him to ride at 90km/1hr.

A Nigerian biker, Kunle Adeyanju has commenced an ambitious journey, riding from London to Lagos on his bike.

It is a journey of 12,000km and he plans to do it in 25 days. The journey commenced on Tuesday, April 19th and Kunle tweeted that he is currently in Borgers, France, after leaving London and crossing the English Channel.

The long ride will take him from London – France – Spain – Gibraltar – Morocco – Western Sahara – Mauritania – St Louis – Senegal – Gambia – Mali – Cote d’Ivoire – Ghana – Togo – Benin – Lagos.

Explaining why he embarked on the long journey, Kunle said in a tweet that he wants to use it to raise twenty million naira for charity.

He said he will donate 100% of funds generated to supporting primary health, water & sanitation, PolioPlus project.

“100% of fund raised will be channeled to Primary Health, Water & Sanitation, PolioPlus project. Particularly 20% of fund raised will be targeted to support the fight to sustain Africa Polio free status.

As soon as he made his tweet, Nigerians started to react to it in different ways.
