The federal government has been enjoined to shelve the idea of hiking the fuel pump price through its planned subsidy removal.

Cleric in Charge, Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, power of the cross, Orogun, Ibadan, Pastor Joshua Aghene, gave the advice while speaking with Radio Nigeria on the current economic condition and the implications of federal government’s planned removal of subsidy.

The cleric explained that the poverty ratio in the country was alarming and requires prompt and sustained relief policy rather than giving consideration to an increase in pump price

Pastor Aghene who suggested improving the nation’s internally generated revenue to meet Nigeria’s financial demands said security challenges had affected homegrown raw agricultural produce; hence, the need to engage more security personnel to deal with the security problems without delay.

Pastor Aghene urged Christians to intensify prayers to God for divine intervention in the affairs of the country.
