Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has commissioned Baptist Primary model school 1 and 2, Isokun in Oyo-East local government area of the state.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Governor Makinde said the school was part of efforts by the State Government to provide quality education for indigent pupils in the State.
Governor Makinde appealed to well meaning Nigerians and concern bodies to partner with the state government in eradicating illiteracy as well as improve infrastructure in public schools across the state.
In a remark, Chairman Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr Nureni Adeniran appealed to school board, teachers and pupils to judiciously maintain the model edifice and its facilities.
The project was executed under the Universal Basic Education Commission in conjunction with Federal Government/Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board intervention,
The model school has twenty classrooms.
