Minister of Youths and Sport Development, Mr Sunday Dare wants Nigerian youths to take advantage of the various social welfare and empowerment schemes facilitated by the federal government and refrain from all act of violence.
Mr Sunday Dare gave the charge while speaking with newsmen shortly after a closed door meeting with Governor Seyi Makinde in his office as an aftermath of the EndSARS protest in line with directives from President Muhammadu Buhari instructing all his aides to go and pacify their constituents.
The minister explained that arrangement had been concluded to engage youths in Oyo state, through town hall meetings and other consultative meetings with plans to ensure their involvement in about 25 empowerment programs designed by the federal government.
The Minister noted that he had paid an on the spot assessment visit to Lagos state and other areas where casualties were recorded during the #EndSARS protest with a promise that federal government would get Justice for those who lost their lives and those attacked during the protest.
Mr Dare however believed that Nigeria would become stronger despite the violence the nation experienced in recent times.
