Ekiti State Government has solicited the collaboration of Corporate Organisations, Non-Governmental Organisations and Well-Meaning Individuals in ensuring good future for the youths.

Governor Kayode Fayemi made the call during the opening and swearing-in ceremony of 2020 Batch B stream 1A Corps members deployed to Ekiti state.

Addressing the corps members, Governor Fayemi, represented by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Mr. Michael Awopetu said the task of moulding the youths to become future leaders could not be left to the government alone.

He advised the youths to exhibit high level of responsibility, patriotism, loyalty and commitment to the growth of the Nation.

Dr. Fayemi urged them to participate actively in all the the orientation activities for them to have smooth and fulfilling service year in the state.

Earlier, the State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs. Mary Chikezie enjoined the corps members not to engage in immoral acts capable of tarnishing their images.

Mrs. Chikezie noted that COVID-19 protocols were being observed on the camp, saying that the NYSC, in collaboration with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control have screened all the corps members currently on the camp.

She appreciated Governor Kayode Fayemi and other agencies for the support given to the NYSC in the state.

The chief judge of Ekiti state, Justice Ayodeji Daramola administered the oath of allegiance on the over six hundred corps members.
