Ogun State police command has arrested three armed robbers at Mowe and its environs.

A statement by the command spokesman, Mr. Abimbola Oyeyemi explained that the suspects, Daniel Okereke, Henry Osagwe and Wisdom Atuba were arrested following information received that a group of seven men suspected to be armed robbers were hiding at Ajeonibode area of Mowe, where they were perfecting plans to attack their targeted victims.

The Police spokesman explained that the hoodlums on sighting the police ran away but later arrested three of them with the assistance of the community members.

The statement hinted that one locally made short gun loaded with two live cartridges, two jack knives and charms were recovered from them.

Commissioner of police, Mr. Lanre Bankole has ordered the transfer of the suspects to state criminal investigation for further investigation.
He also directed manhunt for the fleeing members of the gang to bring them to justice within the shortest possible period.
