The 2021/2022 Common Entrance Examination into secondary schools in Oyo State commenced in all the 33 local government areas.

In Ibadan, the examination was held in secondary schools in order to acquaint the pupils with the realities of the secondary school system.

Our education correspondent, who monitored the situation at Immanuel High School, University of Ibadan, reports that the candidates sitting for the examination in different colours of uniforms arrived at the venue early with their teacher conducting and tutoring them.

In an interview, some of the pupils said they were well prepared for the exercise as they had done several revisions before today.

Some teachers, Deacon Bamidele Oladapo, Olusegun Ishola, Oyewunmi Isaiah and Mrs Kehinde Damilola, who led their students to the school for the examination, appealed to the government to be fair in the marking, results and placement of their pupils to secondary schools that are not far from the students’ residential areas.

The teachers urged the pupils not to harbour any fear during the exam while expressing optimism that the pupils would come out in flying colour at the end of the exercise.
