On Monday this week, a video of a graduate of Ladoke Akintola University, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso who attempted to return his certificate to the school on the claim that it is useless went viral on social media and other news platforms.

Radio Nigeria correspondent Adedayo Adelowo sought out the LAUTECH graduate.

When the news went viral that one LAUTECH graduate attempted to return his certificate, many thought it was a comedy skit or a prank.

But the case was not a prank as the thirty-seven-year-old Oludare Osunleke, a 2015 graduate of Agriculture Extension at the University was hell-bent on returning the certificate.

The Oyo state-born graduate, who said that he was frustrated, explained that he wanted to exchange the certificate with all the fees he paid to the school to acquire it.

Mr Osunleke said he had realized that the certificate was of no use, hence his decision to return it to get funds to pursue his music career.

Mr Osunleke, while emphasizing that he was determined to achieve his career in music, maintained that he had a record of winning a musical talent show sponsored by a Telecommunications company during his National Youth Service in Kwara State in 2016.

Mr Osunleke dropped one of his songs of hope on Radio Nigeria.

He confirmed that he had been receiving calls since the incident.
