It was a gathering of who-is-who in the Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, Worldwide as they converged on Iwo, Osun state to bid farewell to the late General Evangelist of the church, Prophet Elijah Ajiboye Ogunrinde.

The venue of the funeral and thanksgiving service, Jesus Grace Bible College, Iwo, was filled to capacity as the congregation took turns to reflect on the life and times of the church planter popularly called, “Woli Iwo” through hymns, songs and scriptural renditions.

In a sermon, President, CAC, Supreme Council, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Henry Ojo, who explained that the late General Evangelist and Prophet lived his life in the service of God, noted that the deceased’s exemplary life would be fondly remembered for soul winning, prayers and philanthropy.

Pastor Ojo admonished the family of the Late Prophet Ogunrinde and the entire congregation to live their life in line with God’s command so as to sustain their ministry and also make heaven.

Two children of the deceased, Pastor Oluleke Ogunrinde and Miss Ifeoluwa Ogunrinde said their late father trained them in the way of the Lord and he would be sorely missed.

Late Prophet Elijah Ogunrinde, was born into a Muslim family on the 25th of October 1957 and was known as an Ijala exponent in Iwo town before he got converted to Christianity and began his prophetic ministry.

He became General Evangelist CAC Supreme Council, Nigeria and Overseas in 2019.

Prophet Ogunrinde is survived by an aged mother, wife, Lady Evangelist Ruth Ogunrinde and four children.
