Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Mr Oludaisi Elemide has congratulated Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan on his emergence as the consensus governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State.
In a statement issued from the Speaker’s Office, Mr Elemide described the development as a defining moment in the political history of the state, noting that it signals a new era of inclusiveness, equity and unity across the three senatorial districts.

He commended the leadership of the party in the state for adopting a consensus approach, which he said reflects maturity, internal cohesion and a shared commitment to the progress of Ogun State.
Mr Elemide said the emergence of Senator Adeola represents a long-awaited opportunity for Ogun West, stressing that the district has not produced a governor since the creation of the state in 1976.
The Speaker reiterated the commitment of the legislature to continued collaboration with the executive arm of government to ensure sustainable development and improved welfare for the people.
He wished the candidate success in the forthcoming elections and expressed optimism that his emergence would usher in a new phase of progress, inclusiveness and balanced representation in the state.
Mr Elemide also called on stakeholders across party lines to embrace peace, tolerance and issue-based campaigns as preparations for the next democratic transition gather momentum.
