The National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners, NAGGMDP, has called for the expansion and easy access to Covid-19 testing across the country.
In a statement in Osogbo, the Chairman, Osun State branch of the association, Dr Olufemi Oroge also advocated more government active roles in the quarantine of patients to contain the pandemic.
He stressed the need for the frontline responders in the pandemic to be adequately protected and motivated, while the security and dignity of all health workers must be given top priority in the current situation.
Commending the Osun State government for its feat against Coronavirus infection so far, Dr Oroge advised health workers to always stay safe by observing standard and transmission-based precautions where necessary.
