Applicants,16,000, have applied for the 350 vacant slots in the Ondo State security outfit, codenamed Amotekun. Already, 900 of them have been shortlisted. 

The security commander, Chief Àdetunji Adeleye said this in Akure over the weekend

Adeleye said that the state governor ordered the recruitment, Rotimi Akeredolu to strengthen and boost its operations.  

He said, “the exercise was transparent with personnel from the Amotekun agency and certified security experts involved in the process. With the recruitment of the new Amotekun corps, the spate of insecurity will be reduced to the barest minimum; criminal-minded elements should steer clear of the state or face their waterloo.”

According to him, the newly recruited personnel will be posted to strategic places across the state to work in collaboration with conventional security agencies.

Adeleye commended the governor for his commitment to the provision of necessary logistics and moral support to ensure the effective take-off of the security networks. He said that successful applicants will soon be invited for training.

On those disqualified, the commander explained that “majority of the applicants were screened out on age grounds, physical fitness and experience.  

Adeleye, therefore, urged them to resume at the camp within the stipulated period, warning that there would be no further registration in 2022. He said only successful candidates whose names appear on the Corps website are to resume at the training camp. The commander advised the applicants to visit the Corps’ website for further details.

Commanders of the Southwest Security Network codenamed, Amotekun Corps, are now in Ondo State to provide strategic support to security operatives that can lead to the arrest of perpetrators of Owo Catholic Church massacre.

This is just as the heads of Amotekun gave the people of the South West region assurance, that they would synergize in ensuring that the Owo attack does not occur again in any part of Yorubaland.

The Commanders include Retired General Joe Komolafe from Ekiti state; Retired Colonel Olayinka Olayanju from Oyo state, Retired Commissioner of Police, David Ajibola Akinremi from Ogun state and Retired Brigadier General Isah Aderibigbe from Osun State as well as the host, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye of Ondo State Amotekun Corps.

The Southwest Amotekun Commanders visited the scene of the Owo massacre; the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye; the Deji of Akure and Chairman, Ondo State Council of Obas, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi and the Bishop of Ondo Catholic Diocese, Most Reverend Jude Arogundade, where they vowed to track down the killers.

Speaking with newsmen, the Chairman of the Amotekun Commanders, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye urged the people of the Southwest to remain calm and support security operatives with the necessary information that would make them track down the criminals.

In their separate responses, the Deji of Akure, the Olowo of Owo and Bishop Arogundade commended Amotekun heads and their officers for ensuring the security of lives and property in the Southwest region, urging them not to be discouraged.

Four passengers have sustained various degrees of injuries as unknown gunmen attacked motorists along old Ila-Orangun/Ijabe road in Osun State.

 Radio Nigeria gathered that the vehicle conveying four passengers going to Ijabe community in Odo-Otin Local Government of Osun State from Ila-Orangun were waylaid by unknown gunmen who shot severally at the vehicle. 

A security source who confined in our correspondent disclosed that a passerby informed men of Osun Amotekun of the attack which prompted them to swung into action. 

He said, ”They attacked the four passengers in the early hours of Sunday but the men of Amotekun arrived the scene after they got information about the attack. They engaged the gunmen and one of them was arrested but the four passengers sustained injuries.” 

The Field Commandant of Osun Amotekun, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, confirmed the incident on Monday. 
“One of the gunmen was arrested by our men while the four passengers that were attacked are currently receiving treatment.”

Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun Corps, at the weekend said it has arrested more than 4,000 suspected criminals across the 18 local government areas of the state in the last five months.

The agency said the suspects involved in various criminal activities, ranging from kidnapping, armed robbery, human trafficking, illegal possession of firearms, among others, specifically between January and May this year.

The state commander of the corps, Akogun Adetunji Adeyeye, disclosed this while addressing journalists in Akure, the state capital.

Chief Adeleye, who is also the Special Adviser to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Security Matters, said the corps was committed to making the state crime-free and would not relent on its Operation Clean-Up efforts to eradicate crime in the state.

He noted that the crime rate in the state, going by  statistics, had dropped by more 70 than per cent.

Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has warned criminally minded individuals to steer clear of the state as his government would not relent in strengthening security architecture in the state to ensure safety of lives and properties

He gave the warning at the official handover ceremony of 100 security patrol vehicles to the state security network codenamed “Amotekun” held at Agodi secretariat,Ibadan.

Governor Makinde also assured that apart from donating patrol vehicles, he would recruit more security personnel into the security outfit, upgrade their communication structure and adequately equip them for quick response to security concerns in the state

He equally commended executive chairmen of local government areas in the state for their collaboration with the state government, noting that rather than struggle for autonomy for some component units, Nigeria required restructuring of various elements of government for it to work accordingly.

Earlier, the chairman of Amotekun corps, Brigadier General Kunle Togun Rtd said the contribution of Governor Seyi Makinde in positioning the security outfit remain outstanding in the south west and commended the Governor for his foresight and commitment to security in the state.

Governor Seyi Makinde had in November, 2020 established the Oyo State Security Network Agency, codenamed, Amotekun to checkmate crime which assumed a worrisome dimension then in the Southwest region.

The development followed agreement reached by Governors of all the South Western states of Nigeria, namely; Lagos State, Oyo State, Ogun State, Ondo State, Osun State and Ekiti State.

It kicked off with 1500 members in Oyo State.

The operatives of Osun state chapter of the Western Nigerian Security Network codenamed, Amotekun have arrested a 35-year-old father, Ganiyu Wasiu and his 21-year-old daughter, Muizzat Wasiu with fresh human parts.

Radio Nigeria gathered that the suspects were arrested at Oke-Fia area of Igege town in Olaoluwa Local Government Area when they were conveying the mutilated human parts in a ‘Ghana-Must-Go’ bag.

However, Ganiyu who was prevented from being lynched by an angry mob claimed that he was set up by her daughter’s husband.

When the Field Commandant of Amotekun, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, was contacted, he disclosed that his men made more arrests aside from the two initial suspects.

He said, “Seven more suspects were arrested in Iwo town in connection with the fresh human parts. The identity of the corpse is yet to be known. We arrested Lawal Ibraheem (25yrs), Adiatu Rufus (19yrs), Fatola Niyi (45yrs), Eniola Akeem(42yrs), Chief Amusan (64yrs), Alaba Oyeniran (31yrs) and Oyekola Ibraheem(20yrs).”

Comrade Amitolu confirmed that all the suspects had been handed over to the Department of State Service(DSS) for further investigation.

A thirty two year-old herbalist, Daramola Idowu resident in Modakeke in Ife East Local Government has been arrested by officers of the Western Security Network, ‘Amotekun’ over ritual killing. 

A security source told Radio Nigeria that a client consulted Idowu for ritual and he told him to bring a human skull, but he presented a dog skull to him. 

The source said when Idowu discovered that it was a fake human skull, he attempted to kill his client, but his client reported to Amotekun which later arrested him.

The Field commandant of Amotekun, Mr. Amitolu Shittu confirmed the arrest.

Mr. Amitolu said the ritualists were four in their gang, but their leader, Idowu was arrested while the other three fled. 

He said the suspect had been handed over to the appropriate authority for prosecution.

Luck ran against a suspected kidnapper who attempted to abduct a child in the early hours of today at Ajegunle area of Ogbomoso Oyo state.

The suspect who identified himself as Adio Kehinde allegedly took an eight year old child to an uncompleted building with the intention to feed her with already poisoned food before some residents noticed the foul play and raised alarm.

The development attracted many passersby who besieged the scene to catch a glimpse of the incident at around ten o’clock in the morning .

The residents alerted officers of Western Nigeria security Network, Amotekun who later rose to the situation.

Unconfirmed information has it that the suspect was forced to eat the supposedly poisoned rice.

A situation many believed was responsible for perceived dizziness of the suspect.

While narrating what transpired, Amotekun coordinator , Ogbomoso south, Mr Akanji Emmanuel said the suspect had been handed over to the police for interrogation.

Meanwhile , effort to confirm the development from the police is yet to be successful as the police public relations officer,In Oyo state is yet to respond to calls initiated to him.

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, will today, 28th September 2021 sign a bill for the establishment of the state Security Trust Fund into law.

A statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, indicated that signing the bill into law will further consolidate the efforts of the Governor on securing the lives and property of the people of the state.

The statement reads: “As part of the commitment to sustaining his administration’s efforts and ensuring effective functioning of the security structure in the state, the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, will be signing into Law the bill for the establishment of the Ondo State Security Trust Fund on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

“Recall that the Governor had signed the bill establishing the Ondo State Security Network, codenamed “Amotekun”, into Law in his first tenure in Office and also recently assented to the Anti-Open grazing bill among several other steps taken by his administration to ensure maximum security of the people of the state.

“The State Security Trust Fund Bill, when signed into law, will, among several other objectives, sustain the gains already recorded on security in the state and enable government source for fund outside its limited resources to strengthen the state’s security architecture,” Olatunde said.

The Ondo State Security Agency Network Codenamed Amotekun Corps said it has foiled 35 kidnap cases from May 2020 to September 2021.

Two illegal gold miners were also arrested by operatives of the corps in the state.

The state Commander of the Corps, Chief Adetunji Adeleye added that the corps has attended to 2,633 cases within the same period.

Briefing reporters in Akure, the Amotekun boss, said the Corps also arrested 1000 suspects, waded into 515 herders/farmers clashes and arrested kidnappers.

He added that the Corps has also impounded 26 cars and over 1000 Okadas, totalling 2,633 cases from May 2020 to September 2021.

“Operation Amotekun” is the codename for the security initiative of the South West Governors under the leadership of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, to address the wanton killings, kidnappings, armed robbery and other forms of criminalities in the state and the Southwest region”

Adeleye said one of the challenges facing the Corps was lack of the need to get legal backing to allow the Agency carry weapons commensurate with the firepower of criminals.

He added that the Corps need to secure large expanse of land for training camp/barracks for the Agency.

He also mentioned improved subvention to address officers’ welfare/training, maintenance of 24 hours surveillance and acquisition of hardware for officers.

The Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Dr. Abdganiy Salawudeen Adekunle has called on the political class in Nigeria to forge a common front in the fight against insecurity and quest to control natural resources within their domains.

The monarch made the call while receiving visitors who came to pay homage to him on the ongoing 2021 Oro Festival which started on Sunday, 12th September, 2021at his palace.

Oba Aseyin said the time has come for the South-West governors to restart economic renewal reforms that will bear the identity of the old Western Region, which helped the part of the country to use the natural resources found in the states to develop the region.

He equally tasked the governors to give more power to the Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN), popularly called ‘Amotekun’, so as to re-assert confidence in the operatives of the agency.

“It is pertinent that the State governors in the South-West forge a common front to fight insecurity, which has affected the common people more, the first solution is for them to look inward to improve on commercial activities of their people, they need to create a seamless communication network within which they will make easier understanding of policy directions and activities possible.

“It is high time they started using the natural resources within the States of the region to serve the people, we do not need to put all our hopes on federal allocation anymore, we have agricultural resources, natural resources like marble, gemstones, bitumen and others that can serve as part of source of income for the State and the region.

“They have to go back to what used to be in the old, with which major monuments like the first Television in Africa, the University College Hospital, University of Ibadan, people-oriented policies like free education, free health, as well as other public facilities were put in place.”

He used the occasion of the commencement of the 2021 Oro Festival to pray and make appeasements for the unity of Yorubaland and progress of its people.

The festival, which started on Saturday was heralded with sacrifices at the Ojude-Oba and appeasements to all the traditional fore-bearers like Ebedi, Eyinjue, Oluofi and Atamafon.

Victims of recent kidnapping on Idoani-Ifira Akoko axis in Ondo state, have recounted their experiences in the hand of their abductors after they were rescued by Amotekun Corps.

The Operatives of the Ondo state security network codenamed Amotekun Corps had on wednesday rescued 9 of the 12 travellers abducted by some gunmen in the state on Ifira Akoko -Idoani road, while the Corps rescued the remaining three victims on Friday night at the forest around the axis.

Speaking with newsmen at Amotekun Headquarters in Akure, three of the rescued kidnapped victims, Mr Benjamin Ojoga,

Miss Omolara Fajana and Mrs Faith Sunday, confirmed that they were coming from Abuja and going to Lagos when the gunmen attacked their vehicle on the road and shot gun bullets to the air before taking them to the forest.

Ojoga and Fajana noted that they trekked in the forest for more than three hours on wednesday without eating and drinking water.

Addressing newsmen in Akure, the Corps Commander of Amotekun corps in the state, Chief Adetunji Adeleye said the victims were rescued after his men gave the kidnappers hot chase for several hours, noting that they carried out the operations with the help of other security operatives in the state such as the DSS, Nigeria Police and others.

Adeleye explained that in the process to avoid casualties in the rescue operation, his men did not exchange gun fire with the criminals, noting that they restricted their operations to Ondo state boundary while the kidnappers escaped to a neighbouring state.

The Ondo State Security Agency Network codenamed Amotekun Corps has apprehended three herdsmen and 56 cows for violating the Anti-grazing Law at Awara Community, a farm settlement in Ikare Akoko area of the state.

The suspects were arrested at Iwara Community in Ikare Akoko, headquarters of Akoko North East of the State for grazing on farms.

Speaking at the agency’s Headquarters in Akure, the State Commander of Amotekun Corps, Chief Adetunji Adeleye said it would not be business as usual since the enforcement of Anti-grazing Law in the State had commenced.

Chief Adeleye, said the suspects were mandated to pay the stipulated fine stated in the Anti-open grazing Law.

Reacting, The Seriki Hausa, Akungba Akoko, Alhaji Idris Jumil Ismaila, had earlier thanked the Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State and the Amotekun corps for allowing them to settle out of court and promised to sensitise his people on the implications of violating the Anti-open grazing Law.

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State says his administration has not borrowed a kobo to execute different developmental projects ongoing in the state.


Governor Oyetola stated this while hosting journalists at his residence in his hometown, Iragbiji the headquarters of Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State. 


He explained that rather than taking the option of borrowing,he had been creative to adopt the Alternative Contract Financing Scheme, which enjoined contractors to put their money into projects while the government refund them in installment.


The Governor said, despite paucity of fund in the state, he was committed to the reconstruction and rehabilitation of strategic roads in the state, particularly those connecting communities.


He also spoke on the slow progress of the Amotekun Security network in the state, while he however gave assurance that the security outfit would soon embark on recruitment exercise and take off well.

combined team of military and other security agencies patrolled the capital city of Osogbo as residents were perplexed.
In the early hour of today, soldiers converged around the Dele Yesir bus-stop  along Osogbo-Iwo road.

At about seven o’clock, the soldiers, in company of men of the police force, members of the NSCDC, DSS, Amotekun corps and vigilante groups were already on the main streets of Osogbo.
The patrol vehicles numbering over thirty moved from Dele yesir through the ring road, Stadium, Ikirun road, Ayetoro,Igbona, Olaiya Alekuwodo and other major routes of the state capital blaring siren.
Some residents of the city wondered what could be responsible for the development.
A businessman in Igbona area of the town, Mr Adedeji David lamented that the sight of large number of gun Wielding soldiers and other security personnel sent fear down the spine of the people who closed their shops in a her hurry.         However, in a telephone conversation, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security matters, Mrs Abiodun Ige said the development was to assure the people of security of lives and property.
Similarly, the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps, Osun State , Mr Daniel Adigun told Radio Nigeria that the exercise was a show of force by the combined security team.
The police spokesperson of Osun State Command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola also added that the exercise was to remind hoodlums and cultists that the state had capacity to contain their excesses.
Mrs Opalola assured the citizens that they had no cause to worry as the development would further make them better secured.

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has called on the people of the state to take ownership of Ogun State Security Agency code named operation Amotekun in order to add value to the security machinery in the state. 

Governor Abiodun made the call while playing host to Muslim faithful from the three senatorial districts of the state, at Presidential Lodge, Ibara Abeokuta.

While describing security situation in the country as unprecedented, Governor Abiodun, said with the cooperation of the people of the state, personnel of the security outfit would easily fish out criminals.

Governor Abiodun pointed out that his administration would not tolerate any act that could truncate peaceful coexistence in the state, adding that any act of insecurity was sabotage against collective Commonwealth of the people of the state.

He explained that his administration inaugurated Ogun State Security Trust Fund and equipped security agencies in the state in a bid to ensure that  Ogun State maintain its position as the most peaceful state in the country.

The Governor, who also urged the Muslim faithful to continue to pray for the state and Nigeria in general, stressed the need for them to sustain their holy life and relationship with Almighty Allah regardless the end of Ramadan.

Security Operatives, traditional rulers,political office holders,farmers and community leaders in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State have converged on Ayete  to fashion out ways to end kidnapping and banditry in the area
Correspondent Abisola Oluremi, who   covered the meeting held at the headquarters of the local government, said it  lasted for hours 

Setting the tone for the discussion, the various stakeholders on security decried the increase in criminal activities in Ayete and its environs in recent times.


They all opined that without collaborative efforts of the residents, the needed success would not be achieved.
Some residents that spoke with Radio Nigeria alleged that men of the Nigeria Police sometimes took decisions in favour of the suspected kidnappers and bandits.

They suggested  that the security officers should rather go into the forest, which is the hideout of the perpetrators rather than conducting stop and search on the major roads

Speaking, a traditional ruler, Elenpe of Tapa, Oba Sunday Titiloye, said it was high time Federal Government took steps on ways to check how people carry about sophisticated weapons without caution.

The Oyo State Commandant of Western Security Network, also known as Amotekun, Rtd Col. Olayinka Olayanju encouraged the residents to give out adequate information that  could assist in curtailing banditry and kidnapping in Oyo state.

In a remark, Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Ngozi Onadeko assured the residents that the security agency would end banditry in the area. 

She equally handed over  a pick up vehicle and two motorcycles to Ayete Police  Division to enhance its operations.
 Three butchers were kidnapped last week in Ayete and were eventually released three days ago after allegedly paying six million naira ransom.

Operatives of Oyo State Security Network Agency comprising Amotekun Corps , Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) and Vigilance Group  of Nigeria (VGN) have apprehended six suspected bandits at Kajola Local Government area of Oyo State .

The Commandant of Amotekun, Col. Olayinka Olagunju made this known in a release made available to journalist.

Rtd  Col Olagunju in the statement says the arrest was made during a joint routine patrol in the early hours of Thursday.

The suspects were arrested in separate incidents following encounters at two illegally mounted road blocks. 

The statement says the suspects tried to escape but were overpowered by the operatives.

The bandits, who are Bororo Fulani included Awali Atine, Ibrahim Abu, Shuaib Balau, Ibrahim Musa, Abdullah Masika and Umar Aliu Masika.

The bandits whose modus operandi was to pretend as herdsmen in the day and violently robbed innocent passengers on the highways at night were caught with 183 cows, weapons and a total sum of #268, 470.00.

 The release adds that the suspects and the exhibits have been handed over to the Nigeria Police Authority Okeho Divisional  headquarters.

An officer of Amotekun, Suleiman Quadri has been killed at Fiditi, Atiba Local Government Area of Oyo state.

State commandant of the corps, Rtd Col Olayinka Olayanju made this known in a release made available to newsmen.

The release says the deceased was allegedly killed by a group of armed bandits at Living Farms in Fiditi.

The twenty five year old officer and one other officer, Bello Yisau  were said to have escorted some members of staff of the farm to their places of duty to protect them from attack by the bandits.

It also says Mr Yisau  was also shot but survived  the attack and was receiving treatment at the General Hospital Owode, Oyo.

The release added that Mr  Suleiman Quadir, who left behind an aged father, a wife and a son had  been buried according to Islamic rites.

Nigeria Police, Oyo State Command has begun search and arrest operation at Idi Ayunre forest, Oluyole Local Government, where three people were recently kidnapped. 

The operation, which was led by assistant Commissioner of police in charge of operations, Mr Gbenga Ojo was supported by the men of Amotekun, hunters association and Vigilante Group of Nigeria. 

The team combed the forest at idi Ayunre which linked Oyo and Ogun states for several hours hoping to find the kidnappers and their victims.

The team leader, ACP Ojo said the search operations became imperative as the rate of kidnapping was high on Ibadan-Ijebu road.

Mr Ojo noted that this made the Command to partner the local security operatives as they were more familiar with the terrain. 

He said though no arrests was made yet but the Command would do all it could to ensure that the issue of kidnapping and other criminalities became a thing of the past.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police called on members of the public to also partner the police in bringing down the spate of kidnapping by reporting suspicious characters or movement for quick intervention.

Mr Ojo therefore advised people who are fond of night traveling to exercise caution in other not to fall victim of kidnapping, especially during the period. 

It would be recalled that three people were kidnapped at Idi Ayunre in Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State three days ago and are still in the captivity of the suspected kidnappers.

The men of the Ondo State Security Network Agency codename Amotekun Corps have rescued three travellers who were kidnapped by some unknown gunmen.

The victims are Mr Adewale Adebisi, Miss Ahan Mary and Miss Ladi Bude were kidnapped along Ifira Akoko-Idoani road in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State while travelling with other church members from Benue State to Akure in the early hours of Saturday.

One of the victims, Adebisi, the driver, said the kidnappers armed with locally made gun, flagged their vehicle down early in the morning and marched to forest before Amotekun operatives rescued them.

Amotekun Corps Commander, Ondo State, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, confirmed the rescue of the three victims, explaining that they were rescued by his men, after combing the forest of Ose local Government Area of the state.

Chief Adeleye added that two suspects were said to have been arrested by men of the Amotekun during the rescue operation.

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has inaugurated Ogun State Security network Agency code named Operation Amotekun.

Inaugurating the outfit at the Arcade Ground, Oke Mosan Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun urged the operatives of Amotekun to carry out their duties within the ambit of relevant laws.

Governor Dapo Abiodun said his administration was expecting superlative performance of duties from the operatives of Amotekun, and urged them to diligently add value to the security machinery of the state. 

He said that Amotekun operatives were also subject to the law, and urged them to allow the rule of law be their watchword and respect the rights of the people.

While pointing out that inauguration of Amotekun was not to create unnecessary competition with other security agencies in the state, the Governor said many initiatives were being put together to stem the tide of kidnapping and all forms of crimes and  criminality in the state. 

In a goodwill message, Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Mr Edward Ajogun said police and other security agencies in the state would collaborate with Amotekun in the area of information sharing towards curbing crime. 

Also, Professor Wole Soyinka who was decorated at the event as Super Marshal of Amotekun expressed optimism that the Amotekun corps would complement the efforts of other security agencies in providing adequate security across the state, while advising the operatives not to abuse their uniforms.

In a remark, the State Commandant of Amotekun, Mr David Akinremi commended the state governor for giving them the opportunity to serve and providing necessary logistics for the smooth operations of the outfit. 

Mr Akinremi gave the assurance that the operatives would be committed to fighting crime in all parts of the state.

Commandant of Oyo State Security Network Agency codenamed, Amotekun Colonel Olayinka Olayanju, rtd, has debunked the rumours that  Ibarapa Central and North areas of the state are unsettled.

Colonel Olayanju who stated this in a statement in Ibadan, said the corps had put in some mechanism in the region to ensure safety of lives and property.

He also denounced some audio and video posts circulating in the social media, which tend to raise unfounded alarms which might degenerate to mayhem in the area.

According to Amotekun head in oyo state, farmers and the law- abiding people in the area were going about their businesses without molestation.

Colonel Olayanju said the corps was investigating the alleged murder in the area and assured all that the attackers as well as their motives would soon be uncovered.

He added that the people of the communities should not hesitate to inform Amotekun and other Security agencies whenever there is trouble.

Reports just reaching us state that a number of hoodlums this morning attacked workers and officials of Amotekun and Police at a construction site around Amuloko, Ona Ara Local Government Area, Oyo State.

According to the report, members of a union were set to have a building on their land, commencing the work yesterday.

The hoodlums were said to have been at the construction site yesterday asking for money before allowing the union to start the project.

They later warned the owners of the project not to come to the site today.

Investigations showed that Amotekun and Police officials who were approached for security were there yesterday and today.

The hoodlums were said to have come this morning, attacked the workers and security men.

Some of those who were attacked, reports say, have been taken to a Primary Health Centre, Amuloko, along Akanran Road while one of the victims with a severe injury, according to the information, had been taken to U C H.
