  • Arrest Sunday Igboho Now – Miyetti Allah Urges Makinde, FG

Leading cattle rearer group in Nigeria, Miyetti Allah, has appealed to the federal and the Oyo State government to effect the arrest of Chief Sunday Adeyemo for assualt on the Seriki Fulani of Oyo State, Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadir.

Oyo State Chairman of Miyetti Allah, Alhaji Ibrahim Jiji who said this while speaking with journalists in Ibadan the state capital on Saturday, stressed that the assualted Seriki Fulani must get justice.

The Miyetti Allah leader said many of his members in the state are now living in fear while many of them had fled their homes for safety.

He urged Yoruba and Fulani residents to allow peace to reign in Oyo State, saying; “We are all Nigerians. We must learn how to leave in peace.”

Alhaji Jiji noted since government is supreme to individuals, the state and federal government should come to their rescue and assure residents of their safety.

He said; “We are all Nigerians. We appreciate and love the governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde for saying the truth. We need to join hands together to ensure we have a peaceful society. Our people are not happy and many of them are living in fear. Some have even fled their abode.”

“We want justice for Seriki Fulani. All those perpetrated the evil must face the wrath of law. They are not more powerful than the government. Who is Sunday Igboho and why is he more powerful than the government?”.

“I have said it times without number that we have criminals among all the tribes and not peculiar to the Fulani. Those who are suffering the injustice now are not the criminals they are hunting for. These are good people and not criminals. Government should do the needful to ensure peace returns to the Ibarapa axis,” he said.
