An Entrepreneur, Mrs Romoke Ayinde, popularly known as Kayrom Lee, has called on parents and guardians to immediately commence preparation ahead of their children or wards’ resumption for the new academic session, if they have not begun.

Mrs Ayinde made the call while speaking with Radio Nigeria in Ibadan, on the preparation ahead of the 2025/2026 Session slated to begin in September 2025.

She noted that, it is important for parents to fully equip their children for both mental and physical alertness before their resumption.

The philanthropist noted that the present economic reality in the country tends to make prices of school materials unpredictable towards resumption, urging parents to begin preparation immediately to avoid a last-minute rush.

Mrs Ayinde, who is also the Chief Executive Officer, Kayrom Lee Gym and Fitness Centre, Ibadan and Founder, Imperial Initiative For Human Development, advised parents to prioritize their health and that of their children by visiting professionals for check ups and necessary advice before resumption.

She, however, appealed to the government at all levels to address the current economic challenges in Nigeria, to make life more comfortable for the masses.

The Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Kayrom Lee Gym and Fitness Centre, Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde has appealed to Parents on the need to allow their children to learn French Language and understand it for their own benefits.

Ambassador Ayinde made the appeal during this year’s Francophone Week of the Alliance Francaise, Ibadan, Oyo State, where students were showcased their talents and proficiency in French cultures and language.

The Iyalaje Adini of Oyo State said, understanding French Language in addition to the English Language would be a great advantage for students, adding that, they may find themselves in French-Speaking countries in which their knowledge of the language would quickly give them sense of belonging.

Ambassador Ayinde who is a fluent Speaker of French Language explained that, her understanding of the language has made her a beautiful bride in the some of the Francophone Countries she had visited.

Students from Valencia College, God’s Blessing Ibadan and also students from the University of Ibadan, Oyo State and Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, competed for awards in French Quiz, Songs, Dance and Drama to make the Programme more educative, informative and entertaining.

Chairperson, Netball Association Oyo State and the Chief Executive Officer, Kayrom Lee Squash Gym and Fitness Centre, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde has received comendation for making visible impact in the area of grassroot sports development.

A United States based Philanthropist, Alhaji Tunji Adekola gave the commendation during his visit to Ambassador Ayinde’s sporting centre known as Kayrom Lee Gym and Fitness Centre located inside the premises of Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Oke Ado Ibadan.

Alhaji Adekola said he was impressed by what Ambassador Ayinde had been doing to promote sports and how she was encouraging youth progression.

He called on the government to assist her in the efforts to make the state better in sporting activities.

“I am imploring and begging the Local, State and Federal Governments to support people who are willing to bring children and adult to a serene place like this. It is important for the government to assist such person. Without funding and assistance, no tree can ever make a forest.”

Alhaji Adekola who noted that Ambassador Ayinde had already taken the bull by the horn, also promised to contribute his own quota to the development of sports, calling on other citizens to support her vision.

While conducting the visitor,round the sporting facilities at her centre, Ambassador Ayinde pledged to continue doing her best in the area of youth and sports development.

She appealed to government to support her vision of making youths relevant in the society through sports and vocational skills.

The Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh has assured sports-loving Nigerians that there will be transformation of the facilities at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, formerly, Liberty Stadium, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Senator Enoh gave the assurance during his tour of the facilities as part of his commitment to repositioning the sports sector in Nigeria for the better.

The minister who decried the poor state of the facilities, particularly the weedy main football pitch of the stadium, said federal government would leave no stone unturned in making sure that the stadium regains its past glory.

While conducting round the facilities, where he visited the main bowl of the stadium, indoor sports hall, sports medical centre, weight room, the Olympic standard swimming pool and other facilities which are mostly not in use, Senator Enoh met with some youths and children who were training with the equipment at the stadium, despite being old, encouraging them to keep it up as they were capable of making the country proud through sports if they persist.

Senator Enoh also reiterated his belief that Public-Private Partnership, PPP, is key to the development of sports in Nigeria, calling on the individuals and corporate organizations to join hands with the Federal Government to develop sports in the country.

The minister solicited the support of all Nigerians for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in its quest to give a Renewed Hope to the citizens and make the country better than before.

Speaking, one of the private sports promoters within the stadium and the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Kayrom Lee Squash, Gym and Fitness Centre, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde who commended the Minister of Sports Development for his timely visit to the stadium, promised to keep encouraging the youths towards sports, so as to reduce the high spate of crime in the country.

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ FRCN Ibadan Chapel has recognized some outstanding individuals during its gala and awards nite as part of activities Marking 2023 press week of the chapel.

Welcoming the guests with warm reception and dancing to various melodious songs at the Studio One broadcasting, Dugbe Ibadan, Chairman, NUJ FRCN Chapel, Mr Oluwakayode Banjo  said the occasion was to roll out drums, celebrate God’s faithfulness and wine and dine with the members of the Union who cladded in Uniform befitting attires, Awardees and colleagues in the federal radio corporation of Nigeria, FRCN Ibadan Oyo State.

Delving into the main business, the music through the Disc Jockey, DJ, thrilled the guests and staff of the Corporation with soothing songs as the Awards Presentation got underway.

Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Kayrom Lee Gym and Fitness Centre, Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Liberty Oke Ado Ibadan, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde who was recognized as the Media Friendly Personality of the Year, was also invested as the Patroness of the Union, another Awardee, Chairman, SDM Group, Prince Niran Adeyoju stepped out to receive Outstanding Philanthropy Award and was also decorated as the Patron of the Union in the Chapel.

Senator representing Oyo South in the Senate, Sharafadeen Alli received an Award as an Outstanding Personality of the Year, while a Financial and Banking Executive, Chief Kolapo Kola-Daisi was being recognized for his Humanitarian Service to the Society.

Reacting, the four Awardees pledged an endless commitment and support to activities of NUJ, FRCN Ibadan Chapel, saying the members are always demonstrating professionalism in their lines of duty.

The event was attended by the Zonal Director, FRCN Ibadan Zonal Station, Mr Dominic Mokikan who urged members of the Union to continue making the Station proud as thoroughbred professionals.

Other dignitaries in attendance included Members of the Committee of Management, C.O.M. FRCN Ibadan and leaders of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oyo State Council under Chief Ademola Babalola.

Monday 4, 2023 was one such day for members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, FRCN Ibadan chapel to unwind, as part of activities to mark Press Week.

The venue of the treat was Kayrom Lee Gym and Fitness Centres,  Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Liberty Road, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, where they engaged in exercises and swimming to promote their health, mental alertness and fitness.

The members of the union, who were led by the Chairman, Mr Olukayode Banjo, were warmly received by the Chief Executive Officer of the centre, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde who conducted them around the facilities.

Kayrom Lee Gym is truly a place to be, and the experience the fitness outfit offered was quite exhilarating!

Talk of the swell time splashing, diving and floating in the swimming pool: a way to increase the neurochemicals in the brain for happier, healthier, to lower stress and anxiety, according to fitness experts.

No less memorable were encounters with the equipment at Kayrom Lee, with the likes of the massaging machine, sauna, and other fitness machines.

There was also time for games of table tennis and squash at the gym.

Speaking on the exercise, Ambassador Ayinde said media professionals need to engage in sporting activities to keep them fit at all times despite their busy job schedules.

Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ FRCN Ibadan chapel, Mr Oluwakayode Banjo described the choice of Kayrom Lee Gym and Fitness Centre as a well-thought-out plan, considering the equipment available for use at the centre, saying the exercise promotes healthy living.
