Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Seun Fakorede has visited the Oyo State National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Permanent Orientation Camp in Iseyin for facility inspection tour. 

The commissioner’s first visit is to examine the state of facilities at the orientation camp. 

Places visited included the camp’s hostels, kitchen and toilets. 

Conducting the commissioner through the facilities, the NYSC Sate Coordinator, Mrs. Eniola Ambekemo commended the new commissioner for his intentions to give the best to the youths. 

Mrs. Ambekemo while highlighting ultramodern hall as one of the major needs for youth corps members posted to the state, she solicited the state government’s support in acquiring a befitting hall. 

Speaking on the essence of the first visit and facility tour to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Oyo State Youth and Sports commissioner, Mr. Fakorede noted that he wanted to observe the facilities to fashion out a way of optimizing it. 

“It is imperative for me to observe the facilities and to know how to optimize it. 

“We want to know what is working so we can definitely add to it. With my observation, the facilities are not bad, though I still feel there is a lot to do to make it more conducive for corps members”, Fakorede said. 

Mr. Fakorede gave assurance that the government would work with NYSC state coordinator to ensure that the orientation camp got a face lift.

He also urged youth corps members to always strive to contribute their quota to national development during the service year.
