Academic calendar to be harmonised following Covid-19 disruption – Educ. Minister

A National Committee on the Harmonization of Schools and Examination Calendars is to be constituted.

The committee will comprise NECO, WEAC, NABTEB, JAMB and a representative of private school owners.

The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu stated this at the 2020 Annual Ministerial Press Briefing in Abuja.

He said following the closure of schools last year as a result of the outbreak of COVID-19, the academic calendar was distorted and needs harmonisation.

The committee will be inaugurated next week, he added.
