Second Edition of Southwest Basketball Clinic Holds in Akure

The second edition of Southwest Basketball Clinic and Challenges begins today in Akure the Ondo State capital.

The two days event is expected to discover talents and encourage them to embrace sports and education.

The organizer of the programme, who is also a sports correspondent with Radio Nigeriaa Positive FM Akure, Isaac Afolabi said government alone could not handle sports, hence the need for individuals to also contribute to sports and human development in the country.

Participants from Ogun, Ekiti, Osun and host Ondo state are already on ground, while certificates, medals and trophies would be awarded to all participating teams and winners.

Assistant national coach of the nation’s basketball team, Dtigress, Aderemi Adewunmi will head the technical sessions.
